Birds of Paradise is a little gem. Situated in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal South Africa, our stay was a wonderful experience. The facilities are outstanding, the staff hospitable, and the setting in a huge, carefully-tended garden bordered with exotic free-ferns and tropical trees is second to none. There are great personal touches such as wrapped fudge next to the bed on arrival. The breakfast, in a dining room which overlooks this garden, is also excellent. We had the full English, but a continental-style breakfast is also available. The fresh fruit salad also took our fancy! In short this was for us a great experience; wonderful facilities at a very reasonable price. Thank you Birds of Paradise. The proof of the pudding is in the eating: we extended our stay!
